PAINTINGS
Made using ancestral techniques from Italy such as stucco and marmorino, using noble materials such as lime, marble powder and natural pigments, Evangeline's works contribute to the preservation of a rich and delicate heritage, which, applied to contemporary art, is subtly revealed.
"Contrasts"
A series of works where raw pigments meet precious metal.
Mineral pigments, charcoals, natural earths, dense and opaque, meet the warm and nuanced light of Gold, forming a subtle contrast between these materials.
The Contrasts series transports us into a poetic and sensitive universe where Matter is explored and revealed with finesse through the use of materials used by man since the dawn of time.
The lands, natural sienna, burnt sienna, natural umber, burnt umber, gray lands, green lands, come from various regions of the world.
PAINTINGS
“The Great Outdoors”
Arid steppes, sandy deserts, snow-capped peaks, terrestrial mists, giant cliffs, lake expanses, Evangeline invites us to immerse ourselves in her Great Spaces where earth, water and minerals occupy an essential place.
Nature, his main source of inspiration, unfolds like a frieze and borders on abstraction, playing on plays of optics and light.
COLLAGES
Inspired by her studies in archeology and art history, Evangéline creates works that reinterpret major symbols of our cultural heritage. His collages, made of carefully cut or torn paper, evoke fragments of ancient temples, Renaissance sculptures, Ottoman mosques, Orthodox icons or Art Nouveau facades.
His collages give birth to new spaces where each scene invites us to explore the history of art from a poetic and timeless angle.
